18-Karen
18-Karen picked up right where it left off in 2011, dominating the 18s Division. After going 6-0 Saturday and Sunday however, the team entered the gold bracket Monday morning sluggish and eventually fell to would be champion Alpha Gamma Kai.
The team, who certainly had the attention of many college coaches, looks forward to qualifiers and getting back on the court as soon as possible.

18 Molly/Sean
Dont let the 35th place finish fool you. The team played well most of the weekend. Both winning and losing some tight battles, 18 Molly/Sean proved 2012 could be a good season for them. Led by multiple different people in a variety of situations, the team hits high point at the end of their day Sunday, when it won back to back matches over Long Island Blaze and Xtreme Torch. While it didnt carry over in to Sundays match with Metrowest 18 Gold, both Molly and Sean agreed the weekend produced far more positives than negatives.

17 Dan
17 Dan, who was really coached by everyone except Dan (no voice), introduced itself to New England with an impressive 3rd place finish at the 2012 Winterfest. Playing in multiple high pressure games, including one against former Lat-42 coach Mike Garcia, the one thing EVERYONE who watched them play took away was the fact that the team simply doesnt quit. Playing perhaps the best when it mattered most Lat-42 17 Dan was able to out duel Pioneer Valley 17s in what is sure to be a fun rivalry over the next 2 seasons.
FROM DAN: A huge thank you to all the coaches who helped our team this past weekend. Christina was a lifesaver and went above and beyond her responsibilities as Asst. Coach. Eduardo - OBVIOUSLY you brought the passion. Karen - not sure how you did it (coaching 2 teams this past weekend) but you continue to amaze me more and more... Sean, Molly, George, Jake, Ang, Shann, Justin and parents.... Thank You!

MESSAGE FROM THE SPORTSZONE
Starting last Holiday Season, Pam and I wanted to do something special for a local charity and at the same time teach our children the importance of doing something special for people in need.
Last year, We chose a local Homeless Shelter, Ash Street Homeless Shelter. With the help of all our patrons, families, friends, etc, we were able to donate $490 to the shelter without any advertising.
This year, we have chosen the Bella Tucker Fund for our charity. Our goal is to double last years total.
To read more about the fund, please visit www.bellatucker.org
Santa will be at the SZ to have kids take pics both days this weekend. Any donations that can be made, will be donated to the fund and are greatly appreciated.
Please spread the word to families, friends! and teams!!
